Backward compatible?
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect a 2014 C-rio to a 2015 PDP?

Re: Backward compatible?
The 4-slot cRIO is able to run on 12 volt power. It can be connected to any of the Wago connections on the PDP (with an appropriate circuit breaker). It can also connect to the dedicated roboRIO output, as long as you won't be exceeding 10 amps. You will need to worry about resets due to voltage drops, as the cRIO doesn't handle low voltage as well as the roboRIO does.
The 8-slot cRIO will not work unless it is connected to 18-24 volts, such as the boosted crIO power output from the older Power Distribution Board. |
