Re: Your favorite robot of all time?
1114 in 2015.
Pretty much just because of the way they transported it. Oh yea it was also really good too. |

Re: Your favorite robot of all time?
233 in 2005. I remember having to pick my jaw up off the floor watching it pick up two tetras from the loader in auto mode (Autonomous mode was a lot more boring in 2005).

Re: Your favorite robot of all time?
Breakaway 2010 freshman year, seeing 469 in person and fieldside Curie as a Team Media person, so naturally that got me hooked on finding the game breaking robot from each season.
Also that year was 2337 literally built part of the field on wheels and boy did it look incredible. Shame that it didn't pan out as they wanted it to. End game just wasn't weighted well enough. Two years later, Rebound Rumble 2012, and 1717 literally swerved into my view and I fell in love with their robot. I've yet to see a drive train that can match that robot, and may D'penguineers rest in peace. (Still sad over that one.) 2056 in Ultimate Ascent 2013 was simply the epitome of building to seed first, and nailed that squarely on the head. I'll always love that robot in it's simplicity yet incredible grace. |

Re: Your favorite robot of all time?
971 from this year is my new favorite.
971 is probably my new favorite team in general; their past few robots have been so great to watch. As a programmer, the automation on those things makes me squirm with delight. Last edited by cjl2625 : 08-05-2016 at 22:40. |

Team 971 is a great team in general and this year they just blew me away with their compact shooting mechanism. Making simple things look amazing. |

Re: Your favorite robot of all time?
How did they transport it? And yeah, it was one of the best designs of 2015.

Re: Your favorite robot of all time?
well... I believe the "front" was the long part of the L that held the bucket.
It's hard to say because the bot sat on two driven wheels... that and 5 casters. Last edited by Jonny_Jee : 09-05-2016 at 00:24. |
