If the IRI selection committee goes off of qual standings, 4607 does not stand a chance as we average 49.3 in our events. Our alliance pick number average (8.67) bodes a little better. I really hope that they don't look at boulders-scored-per-match either as we may be closer to '0' than '1'...

Maybe we can make the couch division and wind up as defensive champs there !

Nice spreadsheet! Never seen SPO before, it's interenting. It looked like some teams are missing the Playoff and Qualification portion of their points in SPO though (27, 2590, and 25 at first glance), unless I misunderstand the way the metric is calculated.

I know each of those teams were eliminated in quarterfinals at CMP, and thus have no playoff points. They should have qualification points though.

Good catch, I've added those selection points. I'll ask Mitchell to look at this again to figure out why they were missed. I found a few more teams with missed selection points and tried to correct them also.

The SPO metric uses calculated offense (OPR) instead of qualification points. It neglects awards. It also neglects defense. As discussed earlier, the IRI PC has a tough job selecting invitees -- not one I would like to automate.

Ok, Meredith, enough with the hints already! I corrected your team's state abbreviation in MitchellJoe's sheet. (Ben with have to take care of that in his original sheet.)

I waited on doing that, partly to see who caught on to your hints, and partly because I thought you might enjoy being the only Alaska team on the list. Being from Arkansas is not very unique any more, thanks to a several years effort by a certain RD.

Thanks, Richard! I'm used to it. We spent an entire regional (Dallas 2012, maybe) being from Arizona. That worked out well. Maybe that Alaska team is going to have a break-out IRI experience!

If it makes you feel any better I had never heard of Arkansas until I had heard of 16.
