Re: Best low goal robot
1058 switched to high goals at the New England District Championship.

Re: Best low goal robot
5624. Two MAR District Event wins this year. They were on the alliance holding the record for most teleop low goals scored in a match, with themselves scoring 10 low goals alone.

Re: Best low goal robot
+1 to the people who've said 5803 and 2990 - Apex had one of the quickest scores into the low goal I've seen, and 2990's collector & ability to starve their opponents of boulders was the reason that their alliance defeated the Newton upset alliance.
I'd also like to add 1983 and 610, both solid low goal robots that transitioned to high goal over the course of the season |

Re: Best low goal robot
3683 was by far the fastest I had personally seen. I generally like objective data though, and haven't seen 1425 play so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Re: Best low goal robot
Any conversation about the best low goal robot has to include 3102. They had one of the best drivers I have ever seen. Their robot was simple, robust and could pick up boulders, cross defenses and score with ease. They were semi-finalists at Lake Superior and won Wisconsin.

Re: Best low goal robot
I will second 3102 and also add 6175 - a crazy effective low goal that breached and scored in auton near every time.

Re: Best low goal robot
I want to add 3005 and 836 to this list. Both of these teams had fantastic seasons pushing tons of balls into the low goal (and both in curie). 3005 was even the captain of the finalist alliance.

Re: Best low goal robot
Yeah, 836 was incredible, mainly due to the speed at which they went around the field. The effectiveness of a low goal bot is 80% the speed and skill of a driver. A statistic I find incredible is that 3/4 of the alliance leaders (us included) on Curie were dedicated low goal shooters. (Not sure if Apex is dedicated to low goals, correct me if I'm wrong)

Even though they had a shooter mounted all season, 319 was probably one of the top low goal machines in New England this year. For pure low goals 238 was a beast. |

Re: Best low goal robot
I'm going with 5624. They could take down the tower on their own, and they consistently scored enough boulders to help their alliance win as the first pick of the #7 alliance at both of their district events.
