Re: Best Scaling Bot This Season?

I would say 2056 primarily because it was on their robot from the beginning and was very effective and fast.

Re: Best Scaling Bot This Season?

Personally i would say 1983, 254, 148, 2056.

I cannot tell you the amount of matches 1983 won because of their climber. It was lightning fast and i only ever saw them miss a few times.

254 only had theirs on for champs, so I think they go a little underrated, but boy was it easy to line up and it was speedy. Not the fastest, but fast.

148 was just 148, pure awesomeness. The quick thinking of their driveteam to abandon the scale in eliminations to let 1678 scale was smart. Their design was quick, and also allowd for the triple scale. I got to watch the 270 point match 10-15 feet from the field. They dominated the other teams human player and put in so many balls it was crazy!

2056 because they scaled fast from the beginning. They used it to make it to Einstein. Amazing robot design all the way around. Their climber was sleek and elegant design through looks and execution.

I've gotta say 118 and their grappling hook.
Just the concept of such a thing amazes me, but the fact that they built their robot light just to make it possible... It's too awesome.

Re: Best Scaling Bot This Season?

Sorry to burst your theoretical bubble of safety, but isn't a climbing mechanism illegal unless there are bumpers on the extrusion? I think this is showed in rule G17.2.
