Re: roboRIO, Radio, and Connection Trouble
Are you using the right version of the driver station? Try disconnecting the Talons that aren't working and connecting without them. I think a static IP address could affect it, but I'm not sure how to fix that. If it still doesn't work, try connecting with only the basic stuff connected(RoboRIO, radio, whatever else you need to only connect) and slowly add more back in from there.

Re: roboRIO, Radio, and Connection Trouble
I think you might have a few different issues occurring at the same time. I cannot tell exactly, I want to get a picture of what is happening but right now it looks like a Picasso. The easiest way to help you is if you give me a detailed step by step of what you do, including how you are connected to the roboRIO (usb or ethernet), what you do, what the DS shows and what the lights on the roboRIO shows.
First, to get connection on the driver station it sounds like your you might have a firewall active. Make sure to shut down windows firewall, windows defender and any third party fire walls (mcafee or norton). How do you know that you can connect to the radio if the DS is getting nothing? Do you have all the talons on CAN with yellow to yellow and green to green? I expect you do but I don't want to have you try other things if the fix is something simple. If so, where are they on the line of CAN items? |
