Robot Decorations...
Well, I know it's early, but I'm already planning the robot decorations for the robot (whether or not it'll work...eeek).
I'd like to know what other teams have done (or planning to do) to make their machines look GOOOOD.... feel free to brag with pictures! -anton |

Last year in addition to our teal/blueish polycarb shell, we had purple flourescent-type lights in a spare relay tucked away under the shell. The result: a sexy looking robot with a mysterious purple light emmanating from the holes and cracks in the shell
![]() We're poor and concerned about weight this year though, so we have no idea what we would like to, nor can actually do. |

TechnoKat Robot Decoration
Last year we used this stuff called glowire. We used it on our robot cart and around the numbers on our robot.....it works really as long as it's inside or dark..

Just to be sure, can we use anything for decoration, or would something like christmas lights be illegal if not in the Kit of Parts, Additional Materials List, or Small Parts?

Yes you may use xmas lights. It can even be powered off the battery, if you can figure out how to do so. But all of your "decorations" have to be weighed with the robot, and must not exceed the 130lbs.

x-mas lights
The lights may be dangerous if they are not protected. the bulbs could break easily, posing an electrical hazard to man and machine.
