Arrow Limited promotion time, attracting people to an Open House event?

Hello!

With the conclusion of our 2016 season, we have recently revamped our PR and fundraising efforts! This change has allowed our team to build a better "brand" and become much more reputable, however, there is a problem:

Our main seniors are graduating within a week, and we do not have a large enough group of underclassmen to replace them. So as a last ditch effort, the team is hoping to utilize any time with the seniors to host an Open House event on June 2nd.

We have had limited advertising time so much of the promotion effort has been focused on our current school (a technical school which welcomes students from all over the county) My hopes are to show students the various components of FRC to interest them to come in and visit our open house event.

So.. I guess what I'm trying to ask here is:

How can we maximize the number of people we can reach within this next week, and convince them to come to our event?

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you so much!

Call the local paper and ask if they can put in a short bit on the invite.
Call a few local businesses, see if they want to take a look-see.
Put up a few signs at the deli, supermarket, etc.

Advertise free beer

Facebook Events are always good - my team uses them, and through our network of 7 students and 3 mentors on FB, we've "invited" a few hundred people to our events!

The bottom line is to hit as many different groups as possible. In addition to digital media, go to local country clubs, homeowner's associations, and employers and get on their physical bulletin boards with bright-colored postings. Be obnoxious for a few weeks.
