We usually just disassemble ours. We don't have the space to keep more than 2 robots around at a time.

It is a pretty entertaining and efficient way to get rid of a robot that takes up space you can't afford. The plywood parts used on this robot are likely not worth salvaging, since fresh plywood is cheap and pieces that have already been cut to size are essentially useless.
Also, lots of folks don't have fond memories of the 2015 competition. If our 2015 robot was flammable, it would have succumbed to flames a while ago. (Instead, it was unceremoniously stripped of useful parts and thrown in the scrap bin) |
