Since both FTC and VEX had ball gamepieces last year, I'd love to see what you could cook up around a baton or a hockey puck. I could think of a few different cool ideas around each of those elements.

Sidenote: I'd love to see FTC do a "real" shooting game. We've been teased for the last few years.
