Re: Preferred Scoring Element
Since both FTC and VEX had ball gamepieces last year, I'd love to see what you could cook up around a baton or a hockey puck. I could think of a few different cool ideas around each of those elements.
Sidenote: I'd love to see FTC do a "real" shooting game. We've been teased for the last few years. |

Re: Preferred Scoring Element
I could see the game actually including hockey pucks next year. It won't be any sort of a round ball because the trend for the past few years has been round balls every other year. In my opinion the most likely scoring candidtates for next years game is either hockey pucks or footballs.

Re: Preferred Scoring Element
Balls are great, especially if they keep their form well so teams with high compression don't screw over teams with low compression shooters.
Seconding the $100 bills idea as well. |

"Best" and "2009" are not to be used in the same sentence.

Re: Preferred Scoring Element
"2000" and "best" work, though. And possibly 2004.

Re: Preferred Scoring Element
Of the options given in OP, balls are of course my favorite, with the PVC baton being both "most interesting" and "hardest". Of the elements I'd prefer to score, 79 would be a good start, though 78 would be even better. #6 in a tetrahedral crystal would be utterly boss.

Re: Preferred Scoring Element
If there is no limit, you have to ensure its not possible for a single robot to hold every singe piece simultaneously. This occurred in ftc one year and the teams won or lost in auto.
