HTD Belt Stock

I'm building a linear motion component, and need belts for 24t pulleys that have about 52.5" CC distance. For this application, I don't need continuous belts. Does anyone know where I can find non-continuous HTD belt stock?

Or just buy a reasonably large closed belt and cut it into an open one yourself if the pricing works out better that way.

If that doesn't work, go to sdp-si.com, then "Buy Online" (top right), then click on "Belts and Cables". Then hit "Timing Belts (Open Ended) (metric)" and select "Classic Grid View" on the top-left. Then select what pitch/profile you want from the drop down on the left, and the belt width next to that.
We sourced 25mm wide HTD belts last year for use on our elevator. We didn't have a single failure all year, probably because that was waaay overspec'd.

As a side note, GT2 and GT3 is usually better to use than HTD, but either is very strong anyway.

Just buy a standard size that's about five or six inches longer than needed and simply cut it in half. That will leave room to clamp the cut sections. It will be far cheaper then buying some specialized open belting.

I've cut 15 MM HTD Belt with a simple pair of scissors.

GT3 is a better overall option; but HTD is far better supported by Vex & AM pulleys so we have stuck with HTD.

The main problem with finding a continuous belt and cutting it is that I need about 3 meters of belt. The belts I've found of that size aren't notably cheaper than an open length belt from belting online.

It looks like you can get a 624 tooth (3.12m) 15mm wide closed belt from SDP-SI for $61, whereas 3m of the same type of open belting is $66. I always thought open belting was cheaper, but I guess I was wrong. However, they appear to only have a single one in stock, so if you want more than 1 you're out of luck.
