Unfortunately the regionals in California are packed with teams from the state so much already that it is really hard to get out there and play a season with you. SoCal teams are occasionally shipped off to Nevada or Arizona for a second play; I imagine district model teams will not fare much better.

Can Confirm-

A short-lived attempt to get 125 into San Diego this year was met with a response along the lines of "we don't even have enough space for California teams..."

We, too, "got shipped" to Arizona (Which was a great event, don't get me wrong. We just wanted to play with robots outside...)
