Re: [FF]: Gauging Interest in Fantasy FiM
I am definitely interested. Are we drafting each event or just a group of teams?

Re: [FF]: Gauging Interest in Fantasy FiM
It'd be a traditional fantasy league (more details in the OP), so a single draft with additional roster decisions throughout the season.

Re: [FF]: Gauging Interest in Fantasy FiM
Before Chief Delphi is inundated with posts about the main Fantasy FRC league, I wanted to open up Fantasy FiM for signups. Post below if you'd like to join. I'm expecting more interest than there are spots, so (a) preference will be given to those from FiM and (b) if somebody wants to run a second league, they're perfectly welcome to.
Rule updates: It'll be 6 players, with 5 weeks of regular season (FRC weeks 1-5). Each player will play each other player once. The top two players will face off in week 7. Each team will draft 15 teams and will play 3 each week. That means, on average, you'll be picking between 5 teams each week. I'll provide a database with which teams play which weeks in advance of the draft so you don't have to constantly look it up. The scoring system will be as described above. The same as the district scoring system, plus 10 points for the Chairman's Award, with rookie points split between the team's first and second event equally. The draft will take place as late as possible. Once we have our 6 players, we'll pick the date, but I'm thinking either mid-December or the week before Kickoff. |

Re: [FF]: Gauging Interest in Fantasy FiM
Not planning to play this one, but I'd like to suggest that any Fantasy FIM threads (that aren't this one) be tagged with something. I've asked the Season Long league to use [SLFF]; thought I saw someone suggest FFIM as a shorthand here.
Just trying to make it a little easier to determine which league is talking when Season Long hits their district drafting. |

Re: [FF]: Gauging Interest in Fantasy FiM
Fantasy leagues use matchups between players. 6 allows everybody to play each other once. 7 would require players to have bye weeks (because 7 is odd), 8 would mean that each player wouldn't play each other player (only 6 regular season weeks).

Re: [FF]: Gauging Interest in Fantasy FiM
If there's still an open spot by the end of signups, Questionable Decisionmakers (TDav540, Pratik Kunapuli, Kellen Hill, and Brian Maher) would love to field a team. However, we're also playing SLFF, so if there are people who want to play and aren't signed up for that, we're happy to give up our spot.
