F4 - CADathon episode featuring Andy Baker, Adam Heard, and Devin Castellucci.

Tonight 7/31 at 8pm est F4 will go live once again. But this will be a way different episode.

Tonight 24 teams will be showing off CAD models of their robots that they spent 3 days designing for the first F4 CADathon. Our three guest judges (Andy Baker, Adam Heard, and Devin Castellucci) will then come on to reveal their scoring, and in the end crown the winning team who will receive an undisclosed prize.

This is how tonight's episode will be structured.
At 8pm est the show will go live starting with the game reveal leading into the first teams submission. Each team will have a minute and a half to reveal their robot, explain their reasoning for things and explain parts of their designs. This will last approximately until 8:30est where the show will break for 5 minutes. During these minutes we will transition to the second part of the show.

The second part of the show will be where our hosts come in. They will reveal each teams score in each category based on our judging rubric. They will also explain the reasoning for some of their scores and comment on the design as a whole. The last design viewed will be the winning design ending off the show at approximately 9:30.

Thanks everyone for coming and watching today. I am truly sorry for the issues my computer does not appear to be in good shape right now. Naturally the episode with the most riding on it is the one that turns into a hot mess. Sigh*

Yes sorry it's going to be a few days. A few days ago I did a fresh install and it turns out my raid configuration got a little messed up. It caused my pc to crash twice during the stream which made it so I had to move over to my laptop. So... There is a lot of editing I have to do.

All I am saying is remember raid 0 is a trap.

Was it raid 0 with SSDs or harddrives?

It makes sense for a fresh install to do that though, raid 0 has that risk of getting screwed whenever a there is a large amount data being written. I have a harddrive that craps out on me here and there, my friend had one that just died completely after only months of usage.

Now raid 10, thats where its at...
