ROBOTICON Tampa Bay 2016-Oct 8 & 9
This year, thanks to generous support from the University of South Florida and Hillsborough County, Florida, ROBOTICON moves to larger digs at the University of South Florida Sun Dome, with two days of off-season game play for up to 32 FIRST Robotics Competition teams! The event runs October 8 & 9.
In addition to the off season event, we'll also have:
ROBOTICON is the 2nd of the Florida Off-Season Series that includes Panther Prowl at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne on September 24, and Mission Mayhem at Dillard High School in Ft. Lauderdale on October 22. Registration is discounted according to the number of events for which a team registers. It's $150 if you register for just one event, $125 per event if you register for two, and $100 per event if you register for all three. Register at our single site registration page HERE. Re: ROBOTICON Tampa Bay 2016-Oct 8 & 9
I didn't see a thread about Panther Prowl, but am wondering for all of the off seasons. Does anyone know if there will be a webcast at any of the off seasons, but specifically Panther Prowl this weekend?
Signed, Floridian stuck overseas |

Re: ROBOTICON Tampa Bay 2016-Oct 8 & 9
So that was an amazing event despite the obvious setbacks of a hurricane hitting immediately before it. The return to the Sun Dome gives a real nostalgic feel of the old Tempest N' Tampa while still definitely being Roboticon. I personally had a great time game announcing the event, and am looking forward to Mission Mayhem rounding off the offseasons as well as to Roboticon 2017.
For those interested we ran a 4 alliance elims and the alliances were: 1. 917(179 second robot)-179-79 (Winners) 2. 4065-5816-2797 (Finalist) 3. 1065-1369-1557 (Semifinalist) 4. 5842-6842(5842 second robot)-186(1065 second robot) (Semifinalist) There were no declines, both semis went to three matches and the finals went to two. |
