Considering I was on the drive team, the only ones I saw were Archimedes. The Archimedes finals were impressive, though. Our alliance (201, 47, 547) put up a good fight, and came within one robot of winning, but 111, 469, and 65 were almost perfect. There were some exciting battles for the top, let me tell you!

I watched the Galileo finals which were amazing cuz I thought heatwave would do better against Miss Daisy and Buzz and whatnot, but things went nuts out there.
I also saw the last match on Archimedes--I didn't know what had happened before so I was dying when the field judges took so long to show the score!! I heaved a huge sigh of relief to find out that 111, 469, and 65 won

Matt Starkey will become famous soon enough
And whatnot...

Miss Daisy, Buzz, and the TECHNO TICKS!!!!
341, 175, and 236. Just because the Ticks were ranked 60th, is no reason to forget the name.

Seriously though, I agree, that was a great match, but there were a lot of upsets in the Galileo Finals...

How about the 6th rank alliance (638, 123, and 541) upsetting the number 3 alliance (45, 217, and 359). What a battle on the ramp!!! I don't believe too many people thought that Delphi, the Thunder Chickens, and Waialua Robotics could be defeated.

AND what a fight put up by the 8th rank alliance (486, 118, and 571). We saw Team Paragon (571) in the semi-finals of New England, teamed up with 173 RAGE. Any alliance that Team Paragon (571) was on this year was a tough alliance to beat!

The Ticks are on the Move!

Oh, believe me, I was dying, too... They took forever to determine if 65 and 111 were off the ramp (which they were), even though it was somewhat of a moot point. I was still holding onto hope that we might pull ahead, but it just wasn't meant to be...

yeah I was over at archimemdes scouting and I see them push us off the ramp and thought that we had lost, then it ended and the ref signaled that they weren't on, so I thought we had won and then the score came up, and we had lost, because the drivers couldn't see that a four stack was in by less than an inch .

Oh well, such is the nature of this competition, and they where a pretty good alliance anyways (they are the only alliance that tipped us), and I especially liked the 236 bot.

anyways, congrats to that alliance on winning

I was at the Galileo divisional and for us, the whole playoffs were incredible. In the match before the finals (I forget who we played), we had an awesome first round. Then the refs had to go and have a long conference. It turns out that they said our alliance had intentionally flipped someone. I didn't like the call, but we managed to win. The Galileo finals were awesome. We lost by 41 in the first round and it would have been more, but our driver drove us off the ramp at the last moment when he saw we were going to lose and saved us 25 points. Then in the 2nd one, it looked like we were going down, but 236 came and pushed everybody off the ramp with under 10 seconds left. We were off the ramp, but we barely won the match. Pandemonium in our seating section. I thought that the Heatwave alliance (with 68 and 74?) did an incredible job and that we were incredibly lucky to beat them.
