Mounting a potentiomater onto a shaft

So my team had problems with using potentiometers last year, and I haven't been able to find a proper tutorial/guide on the subject.

So I would appreciate it if someone could explain to me or link me to a guide on how to mount a potentiometer (of this kind) onto a circular/hex shaft

Thank you in advanced!
