[FRC Blog] The 2017 FIRST Robotics Competition Teaser, DLC Pack 1, and Teaser Aftersh

We're getting the teaser nearly 4 weeks (24 days) earlier than last year and last year was very early for any game information to come out.

Not sure what's going to be in the DLC pack, they normally do a lot to prevent us from figuring out much about the game. I can't imagine the official logo will be included since that normally has the game piece or some part of the field in it (last year the tower windows are in the official logo).

If I remember correctly, the tower popped out between the "FIRST" and the flag at kickoff, giving a last-minute clue.

At that point, game hints are not as valuable as something that would be present in a teaser. The Stronghold teaser showed several images of towers, but nothing too similar to the actual tower. I think they emphasized flags much more to possibly push people towards a CTF type of game. This is what I would be expecting from next week's teaser.

Which is why I said the official logo won't be released with the teaser. We might get a portion but it likely won't be the actual game logo.

I'm calling a video game theme, maybe space invaders theme. All the sci-fi stuff in the previous teaser update, and now lots of references to video games, seems like a possibility to me.

Your team has a cave?!?!? OMG, how did you guys get that?!?! Do you have a cave sponsor? We tried talking to cave sponsors but none of them responded. You guys must be an elite team to have a cave.
