Teams in the Albany/Troy/Rensselaer area?
Hi all, it will soon be time for me to graduate from my team, the Miracle Workerz, and go to college up at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I am so infatuated with FIRST that I couldn't bear not helping any other teams out there. Are there any teams in the Albany/Troy/Rensselaer area that thinks they could use a college mentor? I am not sure what kind of time I will be able to give to the team due to studies, but I would really like to give something back to FIRST. If anyone is from a team in the Albany area, or knows of a team there, please respond here with a type of contact where someone from the team could be reached. Thank you.

Hey Dan-o I will as well be attending RPI this coming up year! I was as well looking for a team and have been in contact with the Dynamos. I have two friends at RPI that have been and 1 still is a part of my team, I think we should all band together and get RPI to either support 250 or to help us make another team in the area. WE NEED TO GET THEM TO GIVE SCHOLARSHIPS THROUGH FIRST!!!
Hope to meet you, shame we didn't know before, coudl've met at Annapolis and Nationals!

That would be awesome to get RPI to run a team. I guess it would bring in students from area high schools and bring them together on campus and create a unified team. One of the judges at nationals was a "high-up" in RPI. That shows that there might be an interest. It also says that RPI partially sponsors team 250. Is team 250 coming to the PARC. I will be there and it would be great to meet some of the team members and mentors. Thanks for the replies, keep them coming.

There is actually some work being done on RPI founding it's own FIRST team, not affiliated with 250.
