Not having much luck saving with Media Player either - It just wants to save the URL, not the data. Wanted to burn a CD or DVD - Sigh. Thanks, Jack |

press download....once it is has popped up in media player and is done loading (completely) do a search for that file (make sure it is searching everything by clicking search hidden folders and files in advanced). and you should find it in a temporary internet folder. from there you can copy it into another folder where it will be an .asx file.

NO.
There are technical roadblocks to allowing a public FTP download account. Even we only have one account. D'oh!
We understand the cumbersomeness of downloading the movies in bulk. Using a GUI FTP Client to batch download is much easier than baby-sitting the html/cfm page and right-clicking every XX minutes that it takes to download. A SPAM-180 team member gave us an idea and look for something we'll call "SOAP While You Sleep" sometime this summer. It will aid in downloading movies. Right now, we're going to focus on (1) getting back to real Motorola work, and (2) verifying the videos are correct and try to fill in the missing matches. Thanks, KA-108 ![]() |

I'm not sure if the question has been asked (if so, link me to response), but how do you guys (Soap) have soooo much bandwidth and/or space for the movies???

You can look into the program wget for downloading the files. It works really well, even on an intermittant internet connection.
There are also half a dozen download managers you could use. |
