Re: pic: Things you couldn't do again if you tried

2015, Recycle Rush, I was operating and my best friend was the driver. We had a can and were about to top a stack of 5, we were close, when all of a sudden one of our allies bumped into the stack and it started tipping over. My driver drove right into the stack, pushed it back up, capped it, and backed away at the last second. We ended up winning. Highlight of my senior year.

I really wish there was video of this.

Does anyone have that video of the minibot that fell off the pole, bounced off the robot and then landed right back on the pole to finish going up?

My team once scored 300 points (or more) in Aerial Assist, but couldn't do it again.

Re: pic: Things you couldn't do again if you tried

In one of our matches on Newton, the auto mode was set to go over a floor defense and the robot was lined up in front of the Cheval. I didn't have time to reload the robot code because they were counting down when I realized that the auto mode was set wrong. I don't know how, but we went over the Cheval by ramming it, doing a wheely, and landing on the front end. I wish that there was better video. We are the tall robot in red in the middle. https://youtu.be/m6kLidMNyC8?t=13

Sounds like your Z-domain poles escaped from the unit circle. If it weren't for the limits imposed by the motors, the controllers, and the battery, it would probably be even more violent.

If I'm remembering my controls correctly, an escape would send it unstable. We were astable and therefore on the unit circle.

Go to 2:18. Both teams shoot at about the same time, red ball doesn't get over the truss, blue ball bounces off another robot and is caught by 1939 without ever hitting the ground. That was the difference maker in the match.

In a practice match at the OC regional our auto messed up and accidentally shot another team's camera tower. A few seconds later the team whose camera was shot pulled it down and started to fiddle with it.

Re: pic: Things you couldn't do again if you tried

Dare I bring this up from the Perry Event this year? *sigh*

Our robot lost code (1 of many many times) and then decided to have a mind of its own. It went on a rampage and we ended up getting e-stopped while parked on the wrong batter...Here is the match.

Re: pic: Things you couldn't do again if you tried

Amazing picture!

While driving in a match at a 2015 offseason event, two of the center cans were lying down on top of the totes. I pulled one of them off and unintentionally flipped it over so that it landed upright. As in, it had rotated a full 365 degrees about its X axis(from the side of the field) from its starting position. At least, I understood it flipped that way. I didn't see the whole thing because I had limited visibly from the player station.
