Re: Registration 2017
District event registration opened today at noon. Public facing APIs and database queries were disabled until now, it seems that they are all up again.
https://my.usfirst.org/myarea/index....=FRC&year=2017 http://173.255.246.196/2017/ http://frclinks.frclinks.com/ I imagine http://www.thebluealliance.com/ will pick up all these changes eventually as well. For the moment all regional events and both champs have been removed from FIRST's event list, showing only district events. |

Re: Registration 2017
Restarting registration with only District teams today (Regional teams tomorrow).
560 district teams registered by the half hour. The current rate of event registration is roughly 2 teams/minute 3.7% are rookies Granite State is full of course. WPI will be a close second, but not yet. Last edited by Mark McLeod : 06-10-2016 at 08:17. |

Re: Registration 2017
6300, but that team isn't visible yet.
The lowest currently visible rookie team number is 6312 |

Re: Registration 2017
At 12:05 registration worked with no lag. 2974 is going to PCH Dalton for its first event.

Re: Registration 2017
Comparing with last year's numbers, it looks like a joint registration would have been an almost even split with Regional teams being only a few percent more than District teams, so that likely cut the server surge load in half.
We'll see tomorrow. Last edited by Mark McLeod : 05-10-2016 at 14:07. |

Re: Registration 2017
I registered my team, Rosie 839, for WPI (in NE) at 12:00:40. The team count was at 7 open slots when I logged off at 12:02.

5813 is looking forward to competing at the 2017 WPI District event! As of right now, WPI has only 1 open slot.

Re: Registration 2017
I had no idea WPI would still be so popular given the unusual scheduling.

Re: Registration 2017
is that a normal rate for rookies on the first day? From a previous thread, it looks like somewhere between 10-15% of 2nd year teams fold, so I would have expected many more rookie teams to prop up the FIRST growth rate.

Re: Registration 2017
Pretty normal.
The rookie rate rises much higher later on. They are generally slower getting organized. |

The only way for such teams to attend two NE District Events is to go to WPI (Week 2) and Pine Tree (Week 5). Some would say we should count our blessings that we at least have one pair of events on different weeks that aren't on a Sunday. Guess which events 1519 will be attending? ![]() Last edited by Ken Streeter : 05-10-2016 at 19:27. |
