It's actually a rare picture of a team painting on the numbers for the bumpers

Re: Water Game Confirmed?

That's a shadow.

And, OBTW, the shape casting the shadow appears to be the right circular cylinder with equal diameter and altitude that appears at the right hand side of the FIRST logo.

(For those who don't know yet, the triangle represents a right circular cone with the same base diameter and altitude, and the circle represents a sphere of the same diameter. The FIRST logo is a tribute to Archimedes' discovery that the volume of this cylinder was equal to the sum of the other two solids; I would not be at all surprised if someone found those two shapes elsewhere in the image.)

Re: Water Game Confirmed?

We had a water game last year. The moat satisfied my water game craving for a long time!!!

Why does everyone want a water game? I can't be the only one that thinks it would be a technicial nightmare!

Water game not confirmed. Slippery surface confirmed?? Maybe... Lunacy 2.0

Re: Water Game Confirmed?

No that is not water, its lube for all the exposed gears.

I'm wondering why Steamwork teams need aviator head gear.
Is it style, arctic weather or a high altitude game?

Dave

My team did it for our first two years. Those were dark days indeed...

Actually, our painted numbers looked wonderful and lasted through some rough competitions filled with bumper-to-bumper play. But they came at the cost of 5 members doing nothing but bumpers for two weeks of build season. Frankly, it wasn't worth it.

It honestly looks like oil, but I like the positive thinking!

Re: Water Game Confirmed?

I actually think it's the "can of paint" he is using to paint the numbers on the bumper.

They took some artistic liberties and "spilled" the paint on the floor..

(I may be wrong of course)
LOL
