Re: Turning 20?

You can add 125 to that list as well, our rookie year was 1998 and have been competing ever since!

Looks like we might be team #206 on the original list.

Re: Turning 20?

185 is now 272 so they should be on the list.

If I remember the story correctly their number changed from 1998 to 1999 because the team's main sponsor changed that year and back then FIRST used to lump team numbers together by main sponsors.

Re: Turning 20?

I think Hannah has it.
1997 was the last year for floating numbers and in 1998 FIRST assigned permanent numbers based on the primary sponsor name.

Right, so their 20th year would've been 2016. They'll be turning 21 this season.

As a fun fact - Boston Latin first competed in 1992 then stopped competing again until 1998 when 125 formed. (Yes, I FINALLY got around to chasing this down)

I'll never stop being amazed at how slow growth in Boston was given the level of tech and schools around there and its proximity to HQ.

Re: Turning 20?

Congratulations everyone. WildStang is entering their 22nd year now. We made a special shirt that had every robot screen printed on the back. I love that shirt.
Team 112 may have a future if we can convince the district and get some additional sponsors. 112 was a Motorola team that disbanded and mostly went to BattleBots.
