Congratulations Andy!!!!! You definately deserve this award. Although i've only been a member on the team for the past 3 years you've definately been a big and positive role model to me. Thanks for all that you've done and as DJ mentioned before, now you have to be in FIRST for the rest of your life.

P.S. -I saw the Thunderchicken hat.

Andy:

Congrats! I know I've had a chance to talk with you a few times already, but I must say it again. You have truly touched my life and I have become a better person because I know you. You are a true inspiration as an engineer, man and human being. You already won many years ago by making an impact. Now that impact has grown to the people who have posted here and to many other's who will benefit from all we have learned. You deserve this.

Congratulations!

Your Friend,

Steve

PS: Thanks DJ, but you did most of the work

Thank you! My intent is not only for me to get to know Andy better, but our students, parents and mentors too. When I see a particularly pertinent wonderful post, I put the link in our team email, and it's inspiring, I think, new lurkers and new cd members.

Congrats also Andy

Some of the TechnoKat adults joined me as I finished my meal at the team party. Since I basically only know Andy from the forums I didn't realize it was him sitting across from me at first. He then proceeded to spread credit for his successes to those around him who allow him to do all he does for all of us.

Maybe someday they will put up a big TechnoKats sign next to that Delphi sign. If so, it will be largely due to you and your efforts. I gather from this thread and others that if it's the team that makes what you do possible, you continue to inspire them to do it. Congratulations again and I hope next time I have a chance to talk longer with you.

Andy - I wanted to congratulate you in person, but we left fifteen minutes after closing ceremonies were over. Ah, well. Anyway, awesome job! I've been wondering since my freshman year when you were going to win that award. You are exactly the type of person FIRST needs. Keep up the great work! You rock!

More than Congratulations and you deserve this I want to say this to you Andy, Thank you. Thank you for being exactly what FIRST is all about. I can't imagine not having ever spoken with you or meeting you. You are the example I have given whenever anyone asks me what FIRST is all about. You give everything you have and then some more. I can only hope to be half the inspiration to others that you have been to me. So again I say thank you. To your wife as well for putting up with all that you do for all of us I give an even bigger thanks. I knew the award was yours before it was even mentioned that's why it was so fun when I got to attack you in the pits afterwords.

Congratulations Andy!!!!!!

For the three years I have been in FIRST, I have heard your name come up many times and more. I have even had the chance to talk to you a few times. You have helped out all of the FIRST teams in many unexplainable ways, and it is appreciated greatly. You live according to FIRST. You have been a great influence to many, and I congratulate you and wish you well in the future!!!!!!
