If we had infinite time, I'm sure we would have. Instead, we used a combination of SmartDashboard / our own
web interface for Network Tables for monitoring feedback, and used the Talon SRX configuration page for adjusting most of our gains.
Instead of prototyping with plywood and machining metal for the final version, they make their prototypes out of sheet metal and machine the final robot out of wood. :) - Chris is me [more]
