Go to Post teams that REALLY deserve to win will find ways to overcome a marginal officiating decision. Also, teams that REALLY deserved to win will try not to put themselves in that position. - Chris Hibner [more]

Bloomfield Hills All Girls FRC Tournament

Although it isn't on TBA (possibly due to the unofficial rules) I believe this is the 3rd year of the all girls tournament. I wanted to open up this thread for conversation regarding the competition itself (travel, rules, etc.), because I haven't seen anyone else mention the tournament. It's on the 12th, so not a lot of time left for practice if teams haven't already started.

If you have the details, you can suggest an offseason event to be added to TBA here:

Re: Bloomfield Hills All Girls FRC Tournament

It's the 4th Annual All Girls Tournament co-hosted by 2834, 469, 33 and 68.

Senior high school girls have the opportunity to earn scholarships and we are also bringing SWE chapters from local universities to talk to the teams and spectators.

The event is full and a waitlist is available.

Cool facts from last year:

* Three local television stations did live interviews on their Saturday morning news programs with mentors and students. They showcased the matches (Recycle Rush!)
* $4000 was awarded in scholarships.
* Average match score of the girls tournament was similar to the regular season district scores.

If you are in the area and you want to see Stronghold one last time - join us!

Address and details in the link above.
