Waitlist question

Our team is wait listed for our second regional. How often do teams get off the wait list, when will teams be notified they are off the wait list, and what needs to happen for a team to get off the wait list and accepted into a competition?

This is a question best directed toward the RD of the regional in question. It varies from event to event, so you should get that information right from the source.

When the RD feels they can fill up the reserved space at the event (depends on rookie registration, and teams they know are coming back but haven't registered for their first event yet)

There needs to be room at the event (all events have a "hard cap" that isn't actually published... but if you look at the history for an event, you can usually figure it out, and compare it to the number of teams currently showing for that event).

There needs to be no reason to hold that spot for a team that hasn't registered yet (rookies or local vets that haven't registered yet that the RD expects to still register).

Your team needs to be the next team needed at the competition (This may just be first come/first served, depending on how registrations for the regional worked out. Or the RD may prioritize a team that signed up later for various reasons, like that team bringing a number of needed volunteers).

Your best bet is to contact the RD for the event and ask them how things look!
