mecanum help

How would you progam the mecanum drive in labview to make the bot move to the side?

Depends on your controls

This is if you use a joystick with a twist axis:


You can also use two joysticks (or the two joysticks on an xbox controller) just substitute the third input (the one on the far right on the bottom) with the x-axis of the second joystick.

And if it doesn't work properly, you may have to tweak your wiring or your code or your wheel mounting.

The best way to debug is to put the bot up on blocks so the wheels are off the ground.

To slide to the left, each of the front wheels should be turning clockwise* and each of the back wheels should be turning counterclockwise*.

Another way to say the same thing: the front right and back left wheels should be driving forward, and the front left and back right wheels should be driving backward.



* when facing the wheel in question
