Throw my hat in for being a person as "filler" to get a league up to enough people without stealing a slot.

While not quite as fun as a direct head to head (although more 'fair'), an All Play league may make sense. Basically, everyone plays everyone else each week and receives a win or loss for each match-up. For example, if you have ten teams, the team with the best score for the first week would be 9-0 and the worst score would be 0-9 with everyone else in between.

I don't know enough about Michigan teams to join, but I really like format of picking a team for the season and deciding who to play each week. Hopefully this works well and could be expanded to include all districts/regions in the future.

I thought about this, and decided not to because of the fun aspect. However, your post made it occur to me that it would allow more flexibility in the number of players per league. There is a fair amount of non-CD interest as well, so it could be good.
