FRC Championships Live Stream

Does anyone know how many people watched the 2016 live stream of championships? What was it streamed on?

The official streams came from twitch with each field getting its own channel. RoboSports Network (Game Sense at the time) also had a stream running on twitch and youtube I believe that bounced from field to field with commentary and highlights from major matches.

As for live viewers, I don't know off hand. There's probably somewhere that archives the max number of current live viewers on a twitch stream though so a bit of investigative googling may yield that answer if someone here doesn't know.

If I remember correctly, the FIRST Champs Live stream had about 500 people during most of the qualifications, while during division eliminations and einsteins it got closer to 1,000-2,000. Pretty measly compared to some live TV, but pretty impressive compared to most FIRST events (usually less than a hundred, exception of Palmetto last year).

It ranged anywhere from several hundred to several thousand depending on the event (being either a subdivision or Einsteins). It is also important to note that for much of it FRC was pinned to the front-page of Twitch, as with most live IRL events on Twitch.

Could you look in YouTube Analytics over the time period of April 21st 2016 to April 23rd 2016 to see about how many people watched the stream live?

These are total live viewers for each Twitch stream. We didn't stream on YouTube. Are you looking for peak/average concurrent viewers?

Ryan may not be but I'm definitely intrigued! Twitch's stat breakdowns aren't the greatest but I'd love to see whatever you're interested in sharing on how the Championship streams performed.
