Hey everyone,
I'm transferring to Binghamton University this fall as a sophomore. I NEEEEED to start a team. I was wondering if anyone lives around the Binghamton area, if there are already any FIRSTers, or if I are any kids starting school there who are in FIRST now? Please respond if you are interested in helping me/ joining the team, or if you can help me with my mission!! Thanks, and good luck to everyone else starting a new team!! -STACY alumni/mentor team 353 |

team 461 westside boiler invasion is a team that was started up by college students at Purdue University. we have set up organized and maintained the team over the last 4 years now. we feel established as an organization so if anyone out there is wanting to start a team up let me or anyone else on the team know. we would be more than willing and happy to help you out. we have info on how the team started and came about, who we talked to in order to get it started, sponsors, funds, high schools etc. you can contact me at r2k2d2<-- AIM or rdaftuar@purdue.edu
i am a college advisor on the team now. -Raj- |

A few of us from the Gila Monsters started up a team this year at the University of Arizona. PM us, we would also be willing to give you some pointers/advice to help you start a team more smoothly
![]() I keep saying this in every post, It's a lot of work, but it's worth the smiles and hugs you get from the future FIRST-a-holics you inspire ![]() |

I started team 639 at Cornell up about 40 miles from Binghamton. It would be GREAT to have a team less than an hour's drive from Ithaca. Additionally I have a contact of another very capable student at Binghamton University that I think might be interested in helping you out. Send me an email (prd8@cornell.edu) and I can give it to you. I can't promise at this point, but it might be possible to have some members from 639 come down with the robot in the Fall to give a demo to administrators and support your effort. Good luck! - Patrick |
