Any ideas when the encrypted game manual is coming? We would like to be able to beat the download crowds by downloading it in advance. Thanks!

Raiding other streamers on twitch is strictly against twitch terms of service, if a raid came from anywhere it would be from off twitch. Also, if the stream was raided, the admins/whoever is running the account can just disable the chat, meaning the "raiders" can't do anything but add more viewers to the stream.

The powers of the HALLRY are many and some are still unknown, we all bow down to the being that is HALLRY and marvel in their FRC greatness. To do otherwise dooms us to a longer than 6 week build season and plagues us with video replays for the next 6 weeks after that.

To MechEng83 post, it's pretty scary on how fast the posts occur. Sometimes I think "Have I seen Ryan and Frank together" and then I drop to my knees and chant "All Hail the HALLRY!!, All Hail the HALLRY!!" to ward off any bad karma.

"Raiding" in twitch terms is a friendly thing, where one streamer sends their viewers to another after they are done.

Just a quick note for schools with twitch blocked, at mine, our IT uses Barracuda and if you use a VPN you can get to the blocked sites around the filter.

That depends entirely upon the configuration at the site and others' mileage may vary. Some school IT admins have been known to block VPNs.

This is why FIRST is telling all of the sites to test out connectivity now. My suggestion is to work with the local IT admin guy (bring them chocolate) now instead of trying to circumvent them.

It is very rarely meant to harass, but usually streamers will 'host' another stream as they are about to go offline to give the viewers something to watch, something usually interesting. I, for one, welcome our new PogChamp and PJSalt overlords.

My apologies if that is what you are referring to. I haven't used twitch in a while since my school blocked it, and I thought you were using the more negative definition of raiding that is used more frequently around the internet.

Even if they don't block them, please check your school's Acceptable Use Policy. Our school does everything they can to block them (hell, they block direct-ip connections), but that wouldn't stop me from setting up a domain name and a VPS. It still violates our school's AUP, however, and I could lose network privileges if I did.

It can be this, but it's very infrequent. What Jaci is referring to is far more common. I saw a lot of what you're referring to during the champs streams (specifically a lot of people asking where team 420 was, and the like).
