When designing for maximum sprint speed, FRC drivetrains are effectively limited by the amount of electrical power we can draw. If you could add the additional motors with minimal additional mechanical losses and implement a control system to manage inrush currents, this could be a way to shave off a few more tenths of a second, if that's important. I'm not sure if 10 motors is the most optimal design for this, though.
