They're real good for roasting marshmallows, you can even add a little locktite to your smores. Makes for a unique flavour.

Whatever the "small item" is, FIRST had to have had a good reason to not put it in a tote. Anything small should fit in a tote though.

The only reasons I can think of for it to be separate is that it is team specific, since it easier to make totes standard, or it was added to late to be included to the bin.

In prior years the "small item" has been donations that arrived too late for the KOP tote packing process.
I've been handed small motors and other random items as part of the Kit distribution.
