2017 FRC Kickoff

Quick question the FRC ki koff is tomorrow and we had a quick question will the stream be avaliable anywhere else than twitch. Our school servers block twitch.

The two solutions I could think of are:

• Run a VPN to get past the filter. I'd get this cleared by shool IT staff first though, since they might not be too happy about a lot of traffic from one IP without explanation.
• If you have good cell service in school, have soemone tether their phone and use that connection... Just be careful about data rates at that point.

Our school system blocks twitch, so one of our mentors will set up a hotspot with his phone. We'll then use one of our programming laptops to connect to the feed, and send it to a projector. We tested it Wednesday evening on campus.

I would check to see if blue alliance is blocked and maybe try and get a feed through that. Although I think that broadcast might be twitch as well I am not 100% sure about that. Good Luck.

thebluealliance.com doesnt stream/host video itself. All it does in the Gameday app is just provide access to the streams that are already occurring. The stream is still on twitch. If twitch is blocked at your school, than thebluealliance will do nothing to unblock it.

I just got word that we will able to stream just in case it doesn't work I'm picking up a cord that can reflect a phone screen to a projector thanks for the help.
