Re: OM5P-AN router is not giving a gateway

Are you saying it's assigning an IP, but not a gateway? A gateway is not necessary for FRC use.

A gateway is only used when trying to reach an IP outside the local network, which in the FRC use case, there is no way to reach.

Re: OM5P-AN router is not giving a gateway

Tell us what steps you took and we can probably help.

Did you?
- Disable all other network connections, e.g., wireless
- Connect via Ethernet cable
- Skip any of the screenstep instructions because you didn't think they were important
- Are you setting it up as an AP? Your laptop can only connect to an AP, NOT a bridge.
- Are you using 2.4GHz or is your laptop capable of 5GHz (or whatever the Israeli restrictions are)?

Re: OM5P-AN router is not giving a gateway

Red status light for WiFi usually means it is in Bridge mode, but has not connected to any other wireless point yet. It only goes green after someone connects to it wirelessly.
In AP mode it usually goes from red to yellow.
No gateway settings are required for our use.

On your PC wireless choose it does not list an AP labeled 5928?
You have to choose to connect to it.
