Having trouble Configuring OM5P-AC Radio

While using the FRC Radio Configuration Utility we ran into some problems.

*All other networking devices are disabled, ran in admin mode, pings were successful

While the load firmware worked fine, configuring the radio with just a team number failed with

"Bridge configuration failed: Failed to change IP address, please check for an adaptor with the address 192.168.1.51. Please ensure the bridge is connected o this computer and try again.

Any ideas?

Re: Having trouble Configuring OM5P-AC Radio

Try an ipconfig /all from the cmd prompt indow to insure that all NICs are listed as Disabled except for the Ethernet port.

For example, here is what mine looks like after using the utility successfully:
Code:
Windows IP Configuration

   Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : McLeod
   Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
   Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid

Re: Having trouble Configuring OM5P-AC Radio

He just means your driver station PC's wireless adapter needs to be disabled to configure the radio. Running ipconfig is one way to check that.

We had this problem this year. I had been in the habit of disabling the laptop's wireless via the physical button, but apparently that's not the same as disabling the wireless interface in Windows network configuration. Once we did that it was able to configure the radio successfully.

If you're on Windows (10 in my case) here's roughly how you get there:
- Hit Start, type "Network and Sharing Center" and run that
- Click "Change adapter settings" on the left
- Right-click the wireless adapter in the list, hit "Disable"
