2016 radio set up for home use

I'm trying to reconfigure my 2016 radio OM5P but get Bridge connection failed failed to change IP address please check for an adapter with the address 192.168.1.5 one please ensure the bridge is connected to this computer and try again.
Ive power cycled the unit and I am at administration level on the computer.. i tried using the frc radio configutation utility using Windows 10 and I'm not tech savvy. Note---ive seen similar threads and have followed the directions as posted without success. Please help

Well, one way to go is to throw that expensive 2016 piece-of-crap in the drawer, go to goodwill and get some random old router for 5 bucks, and peek at:
