Radio Configuration Error: Timeout waiting for radio

Hi,
Today, we received our kit of parts including a new radio (Model Name: OM2P-AC). We didn't get a power cord, so we used one from a 2016 D-Link. I keep getting "Bridge firmware load failed. Timeout waiting for radio. Make sure you have launched the .exe and not the .jar. try using a switch. Please reset the bridge and try again" error when trying to load the firmware. I followed https://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s...anual-id=13503. I got the latest java version as well as the FRC radio configuration utility that was released earlier today. The only file that we got when we unzipped was a .exe file. The Radio is set to OpenMesh. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Re: Radio Configuration Error: Timeout waiting for radio

Did you wait to power the radio until after you've selected the Firmware button?
You can also cycle the radio power (and will be directed to do so) after the Firmware button is pushed.
The OpenMesh only loads new firmware on power startup.

If you still have trouble you can also disable wireless and all other network connections your PC may have, except for the one you are using for the radio Ethernet.

Re: Radio Configuration Error: Timeout waiting for radio

I did wait to power the radio after clicking load firmware. The power light on the radio didn't start blinking, but after a few tries, I tried power cycling the radio with the power light solid, the radio would reconnect to the computer and power itself off. All of my attempts were made with wifi disable and the radio the only network the computer was connected to.

You are trying to power a 12v radio with a 5v power supply. This will not work.

Re: Radio Configuration Error: Timeout waiting for radio

The power supply that we are currently using is http://www.jameco.com/z/DDU120100-12...A_2197484.html. it states that it has 12v input and 12v output. Is there a different power supply that we should be using?

Re: Radio Configuration Error: Timeout waiting for radio

I had those same issues trying to get the firmware loaded. I finally had to try a different laptop to get firmware to flash. Are you using a hardwired ethernet port or a USB ethernet adapter?

Re: Radio Configuration Error: Timeout waiting for radio

I just tried on a Windows 8.1 machine and the only issue I had was failing until I disabled the wireless port.

Try another PC as suggested.
