Hopper design

Does anyone know what 148 used in their lunacy (2009) robot tornado for that broom like material that did the spinning?

I was thinking of trying to take a concept like that just shrunken down for storing fuel in the robot without it jamming up as it would in a funnel type system. If the top could open/close then you could not only fill from the feeder stations but also pick up from the ground when they inevitably spill everywhere.

here is the robowranglers video from that year

thanks,
Ben

Re: Hopper design

We had a helical storage on 1726 that year and used a piece of non-slip shelf liner for our flaps instead of bristles. They worked well and cost virtually nothing. You're local Walmart probably has rolls of it stocked up right now.

I think with the style of this years game pieces, shelf liner is an excellent material to have around. small scale example
