Corrupted ES1 Veteran Image Download

I have downloaded the ES1/E11 Image from https://frc-events.firstinspires.org/DSImages/2017/ 2 times and burned it onto my USB multiple times and tried imaging the laptop with it many times and everytime, it seems like it is successful, but the laptop boots with "Windows failed to start" Missing File: lm3554.sys Status 0xc0000098. Has anyone else managed to successfully image their veteran laptops with this specific image? I'm thinking that the image they posted is corrupted.

No fix, but I can confirm that you are not alone. Same exact problem (including error message) here. This is on the Aspire E11 (ES1-111M-P2YU) that we got via FIRSTChoice.

The link worked when I posted it but it looks like the thread has been removed (here is google's cache), but the thread has since been removed. I'm guessing that's because this is supposed to be fixed in Update 1 which was recently released.

Unfortunately, I'm getting a new error when trying to boot with the Update 1 image:

BOOTMGR is missing
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart

I'm still looking into solutions, but if anyone else has run into the problem, please say so. Thanks!

We ran into this problem as well and to solve it you need to open your boot flashdrive, and inside there will be a folder called ES1 (if I recall correctly). You need to copy all of the contents of this folder into the base flash drive directory and it should work fine!
