How to program the robot to move?

I'm having trouble coding the robot just to move. The Example code from the Kickoff is not doing anything. Could anyone give me tips for coding it?

Kickoff example code: https://github.com/Eric-Dao/Quickbuildcode2017

Re: How to program the robot to move?

I highly recommend using the command template and robotbuilder for a new Java team. the iterative robot template has a few things you need to be careful of that might hang you up. there are multiple threads talking about robotbuilder.
