Re: [FF]: 2017 Season Long Fantasy FIRST
It looks like Joseph's internet went out again. Brennan seems to have taken up the slack, at least for now.

Re: [FF]: 2017 Season Long Fantasy FIRST
I can do what I can. F3 probably has a list in tho and don't really want to random them. If people could just live pick that would be good.

Re: [FF]: 2017 Season Long Fantasy FIRST
The regular-season drafts are now over. That doesn't mean we're done yet...
Waivers should be going up next week, if there are any. There's one minor change to that, at least for the duration of this season (and to be discussed on the offseason), which is that if you are missing a team, you will now only get a 3-spot boost if you claim a team from waivers (or less, if that puts you at the top). This is a return to the original intent of that feature, many years ago, of a minor boost. (Recently it's been a "first to claim, but you lose your spot" instead.) Also, DCMP drafts are scheduled for March and April. I've tried to schedule them on days events AREN'T happening as best I can. And one final note: For the first time in SLFF history*, we haven't even had to issue a warning for attendance. I could issue a combined one to 4 playing teams, but nobody had more than 2 absences total. Awesome job, guys! *Nobody got booted at all during the '08 season draft. "5-misses-and-warning-and-out" was implemented the following season. |

Re: [FF]: 2017 Season Long Fantasy FIRST
Just for awareness: Expect a full waiver to commence in the next couple of days, under policy "Smokescreen". I'm currently working to generate that, and have been flagging MIA teams as I go.
"Smokescreen": If I get 1 waiver claim, I run a full waiver--all events--to camouflage who is claiming and who they're claiming. |

Re: [FF]: 2017 Season Long Fantasy FIRST
OK, so it took a little longer than I planned... but here's the results of the grind!
Missing Teams Code:
Event MIA South Florida 1557 Arizona North 1280 Shenzhen 5883 Central Valley 2437 Utah 3241 Southern Cross 5333, 5663 Finger Lakes 6475 South Pacific 6578 Lone Star Central 5726 Sacramento 2839 Rocket City 1622, 5843 Iowa 2883, 5326 Smoky Mountain 4533, 4576, 5492, 6517, 6654 Los Angeles 368 Wisconsin 6438 Hawaii 2473, 6300 Brazos Valley 4256 Toluca 4584 Code:
Event Waiver South Florida 5616 Northern Lights 2501 Hub City 192, 2395, 4298, 5677, 5960, 6682 Arizona North 3577 San Diego 4, 5137 St. Louis 5326 Shenzhen 6766 Dallas 6768 Miami Valley 6765 Utah 1339, 3729 Ventura 1515, 2576 Greater Pittsburgh 217, 3410 Lone Star Central 6488, 6682 San Francisco 2437, 5924 Sacramento 3013 Iowa 2450 Oklahoma City 3612 Los Angeles 5285 Wisconsin 930, 3692 Hudson Valley 1923 Silicon Valley 1280, 4159 Idaho 5118 Laguna 3480 Midwest 2136, 3135, 5655 Long Island 2027, 2347, 2487, 6746 Buckeye 1450 Brazos Valley 3743 North Star 5801 10K Lakes 6424 Las Vegas 1266, 1678 Toluca 5750, 6048, 6229 Oh, and I didn't run the district drafts. I expect that most teams there are changing events rather than dropping out, so I didn't think it was necessary. Last edited by EricH : 15-01-2017 at 23:31. |

Re: [FF]: 2017 Season Long Fantasy FIRST
Your attention please:
More teams have joined regionals since Sunday when I posted the waivers. Several have been brought to my attention. In light of that, I can either re-generate all the waivers, push the teams to the next round... or just add the teams in, after verifying that they have not already been on waivers. I'm choosing the last route, and pushing the deadline back to SUNDAY, 1/22, Midnight Pacific. Anybody who wants to submit a revised waiver list will be able to do so. Also, no new teams will be added to this round of waivers past FRIDAY, 1/20, at midnight Eastern. Missing Teams Code:

Re: [FF]: 2017 Season Long Fantasy FIRST
I need some confirmation. If a team claims a waiver team before any other team, does that team get priority or does it go to the highest team on the waiver priority list?

Re: [FF]: 2017 Season Long Fantasy FIRST
That kinda sucks. Why should a team who doesn't check regional waitlists benefit when I forsay find out that 4 top teams are going to regional x. Folks basically benefit from work they didn't do. But hey, I'm just here to compete.

Quote:
Instead, all the teams that are on waiver are announced at one time, if at all possible. This hopefully obscures the good teams in a cloud of mediocre teams. And, you still need to do your homework. There's been a few times where I've looked at a team on the waiver, compared to teams I had, and decided against making a claim. Oh, and BTW: While you're checking those regionals, you might want to check that your teams are still ON those regional lists. Everybody's missing at least one team. |

Re: [FF]: 2017 Season Long Fantasy FIRST
He did. The problem is that at this point, one claim triggers a full waiver run (all teams, all events--less districts as I noted), and I opted to include more recent claims in this current run.
