Re: Team made Airship

Each year, our team builds a full sized practice field for teams in the area to practice on. This year, however, our field will only feature a single airship. Our reference is mostly a cut-list made by looking at the field step files available at https://autodesk.app.box.com/s/mkoxp...uboqwhppqck6wk

Re: Team made Airship

Thanks, this thread is a great resource. We too have been doing a week 0 event for a few years now. We try to have a full field to play on, Last year we were able to have all of the defenses, and towers completed. This year it is going to be a struggle without some drawings. Our week 0 is run a little different, as we invite rookie teams and have our shop open, and resources to help them get some run time, and improvements prior to bag day. We don't typically have formal practice matches, but we try to have a good representation of the field, so teams can work out some autos, and gain some driver experience. We have not started our field construction yet, as we don't have the room to store it before week 0, when we get the gym.

If anybody has some addition drawings or manpower requirements to build, and a material list, that would be really helpful, but love seeing the pictures here.

Re: Team made Airship

Has anyone made the whole hand crank as of yet or a close replica? We are trying to make one as close as possible to the real deal.

Looking at GE-17088 assembly the crank post (GE-17097) attaches to the crank handle (GE-17096). But unless I am missing something obvious I can't find the dimensions/ material of the crank handle (GE-17096).
