When we try to create our first subsystem, I cannot locate the folder commands and subsystems... thereofre i cant get to the "new, subsystems or command....

We have the plugins installed and the proper JRE...

Guess i am missing something very silly and cant figure it out....

Does File -> New -> Other... -> WPILib Robot Java Development have the subsystem/command options you're looking for?

The command and subsystem folders should be in the package explorer view under the name of your project -> src

i was not seeing the folder as they have in the tutorial... and since i am new with java and s=eclipse, it made me a little nervous.

Is there a way i can have these "others" option available when i select "new" instead?

You can go to Window -> Customize perspective... -> Shortcuts and select the ones you want to show up in the "New" submenu
