This. I don't know how anyone can call it bad customer service. I've e-mailed them a few times over the past few years, and I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 12 hours for a response from R.C. He is very quick to respond. I mean...put yourself in his shoes. They just released a ton of new products this year (probably more than any FRC supplier). There are bound to be supply problems. It's a fact of engineering. People make mistakes, shipments are late, you forget about Chinese New Year....things happen.

I've had nothing but good interactions. We ordered a PO full of pulleys for polycord, and they filled that backorder super quickly.

Re: WCP: 2017 Product Launch + MCC 2017

If ordered a 775pro pinion (WCP-0015) and any of the in stock GT2 belts right now, how long would it take for them to ship?

Re: WCP: 2017 Product Launch + MCC 2017

The Users guide and assembly instructions for the WCP 2 CIM Flipped DS are up!

R.C. also put in a link for a CAD of an encoder mount/adapter for the CTRE Mag Encoder. You can 3D print, or CNC, the encoder mount. Included with the mount is also a tool to set the depth of the magnet into the output shaft of the transmission. The intent of the tool us to use a small amount of CA glue to adhere the magnet in place. Just place the adhesive into the end of the shaft, then insert the magnet into the tool and use the tool to insert the magnet into the shaft. This will reduce the likelihood of accidentally gluing the tool shaft.

If you would like the original Inventor files, please send me a private message here and include your e-mail address.

In responce to a request, it should look like this when assembled.

Super cool idea, thanks Bill! We'll be printing out a few of these

Hi All,
Can the WCD Flipped Gearbox be used with a regular pneumatic hardware kit?

That is, can you build a gearbox using the components WCP-0070, 217-3496 and WCP-0125? (A normal WCD DS Flipped is WCP-0070, WCP-0125, and WCP-0126).

Thanks!

Yes, but doing that would involve mounting the pneumatics on the opposite side of the WCD backplate

What I'm hoping to do is mount the pneumatic kit with the WCD option, not the Standard/Non WCD option. It's sort of an unusual hybrid option that isn't shown in the product info for the gearbox, so I wanted to see if there was any issue.

I contacted WCP about this and heard back the following:

"All the WCD kit does is space the cylinder out, you can use or print some spacers instead"

We will start building the boxes this afternoon, so I will keep you (and WCP) posted as to our progress and issues that arise, but it seems to be a pretty simple problem to solve.

All Dogs are machined and ready to go, we got some out yesterday/today and waiting for more thunder hex bearings which will be here early tomorrow. Everything should be out the door by tomorrow.

Most if not all teams should've received a tracking # for the DS flipped, base kits, shifter rods, WCD add on kits.

We should also have the pancakes being boxed and in the shipping que tonight. Just received some some from SMC today.
