C++ Joystick Button Error

I'm having an interesting problem with my command based c++ program. Whenever I'm using a created joystick button in the OI source file, I get a very long error message in the driver console, a picture of which is attached to this post. Our joystick is currently plugged in to the correct port, and the button does register on the DS.

This is not our first time with command based, and we are currently creating and using the joystick button as we have had in previous years. There may have been a change this last year that I have not read about? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
