Re: WCP: 2017 Product Launch + MCC 2017

Does anyone know if the shifter rods are included in the kits? We don't have all parts of our kits yet but trying to verify we will have everything we need. As far as I can tell, unless you order the backflip option, you won't get the part that connects the dog to pneumatic cylinder (shifter rod not included with standard pneumatic kit).

So, after over three weeks, my team's order shows as "complete", however, we're missing the WCD plates, which show they were included in the first shipment. Funny thing, on the parts list in that first shipment, the WCD plates were listed as "backordered".

You should shoot them an email. They respond absurdly fast and have always done right by myself and my team.

I have. And I've called. It still doesn't resolve the issue that we were promised these parts in last shipment and don't have them.

Did they reply? You are in California, a quick shipment should be possible. I got an overnight Saturday delivery of the dog gears today.

At least somebody is getting them. No such luck here, no luck getting email response yet either.

Can someone please answer this? I've sent two emails since Thursday with no answer and we're still waiting on parts to build these things up. We really can't afford any more surprises of stuff missing or not working.

I can't speak definitively to this. We ordered the backflip kit and have made minor mods to it since we are running belt-in-tube, and I'm not really hands-on with the assembly. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I'm not sure what configuration is given if the backflip is not ordered. We purchased the backflip assembly and disassembled when we found it could not be used with the normal pancakes.

We have modified the assembly a bit to adapt it for normal pancakes. We have only a .05" drop, which allows just enough room over our 2x2 drive rails to use them. Let me know if you need advice on how to adapt if you think you will be using them.

Our problem is that the pancake is not spaced far away from the gearbox to properly engage low gear, and it does not fully extend when engaging high gear.
Our configuration is extremely similar to that of the picture on page 29 of the instructions.

"Modified", as in drilled out and tapped to the size of the shaft on the normal pancake?

We ordered the specified Bimba pancakes from McMaster that are called out in the design for this transmission. If you do this, you also need to order some 8-32 grub screws and some 4-40 screws to mount the pancakes to the transmission.

We simply took the backflip piece off and used a normal pneumatic mount coupler
What you suggested was considered though when we found the problems of the pancake

Exactly, we drilled and tapped. We did this for the practice bot and have left the materials for the final bot intact, in case it didn't work. What length of 4-40 screws did you get?

Have your emails included your name, team number, and order #?

It's hard to believe that only one person here that hasn't been getting replies is the one with a vague new CD account. Post your team number and I'm sure WCP will fix your situation.
